Decisions, Revisions, Reversals by Amy
Oh, this is lovely. It's just a nice interaction between Faith and Dawn.
Disco Inferno by Amy ![]()
This is fantastic. It's a Dawn story, set mid season 7, with great Dawn voice and good characterisation all round. I really like the idea behind this, too. It's so cool.
B
An Open Space by Beth C
Xander/Andrew, wherein Xander remembers Jesse. This is nice, 'cause it sometimes bugs me that they all forgot him so easy.
Electric by Bitch Willow
This is a wonderful season 5 Dawn introspection piece, with a teeny tiny bit of Dawn/Spike. It's just lovely.
Daylight by Branwyn
Dude! This is a cool Dawn piece, that totally trips me out.
Boy Without Skin by Briar
Ooh, this is fascinating. I'm really into Connor post-Home stories and this one is particularly good.
Ambient by Brighid
This is really good atmospheric Dawn/Spike that really works for me.
Touch by Brinshannara
A really sweet look at what Tara was thinking during the hand-holding scene in Hush. This is nice.
T-Minus Three Hundred by Buffonia
Short Fred/Willow, with really good Fred characterisation. It's quite cool, indeed.
C
Black by cheebs!
Hot Faith/Lilah drabble.
Dawn by Claire
Just a nice, short look into Dawn's head during season 7. I like this.
Whispers by Claire
This is a nice Kennedy piece, showing her as the nice girl I think she really is.
Mechanics of Death by Colleen Unhinged
It's vampire Fred, with some Cordy/Fred, and it's just cool.
On Having Power by Colleen Unhinged
Woah! It's dark Dawn fic, with the right kind of detail and characterisation I can really believe.
Guilty But Insane by Collie
Cool Willow angst.
D
Mr Gordo Woke Up Gay by Dolores
Bwahahahaha! The passions of a stuffed toy. Very amusing.
Snowflakes by Dolores
Terribly pretty Giles/Oz.
E
Old by Estephia
This is hot. It's Giles/Spike, pretty much, and the Giles characterisation is really good.
F
Watching by FayJay
Gunn, after season two, in big old denial about his feelings for Wes. I really like this. It's way cute, and I like the Gunn voice and the characterisation in general.
Black Flowers by Firecracker
I dig this. Buffy/Faith I can believe, with cool violence and fantastic description.
G
Beware of Owner by Glossolalia
Ooh! Interesting Larry story set in the wishverse. This is cool.
Me More Than You by Glossolalia
Ooh, it's some nice Wesley/Spike and the lush descriptions really work in this piece.
Torn by Guiliana
Just a cool Buffy story.
Black As Lifestyle Choice by Gunbunny
Domesticity Faith/Wesley style. This is just cool, yeah, and I like the way the story is structured.
I
Memory by Immicolia
Oh, wow! Hot, fucked up Warren/Andrew set post -IWMTLY. This is really just very good, and the characterisation is fantastic. I like the way it all shakes out.
J
Cabbages and Queens by Jennifer-Oksana
Hee! This is an amusing, adorable interaction between Lorne and Andrew after Home and Chosen. It's almost too cute.
All Your Tomorrows by Jennifer-Oksana
Anya/Giles post season six, that feels real. It's wonderfully put together and the characterisation is excellent.
Anna Begins by Jennifer-Oksana
Wonderful Wes/Lilah, with great depth of characterisation and emotion. This is sweet.
Ask for Answers by Jennifer-Oksana
This has good Connor voice, plus I like the background Wes/Lilah. Totally cool.
Changing the Subject by Jennifer-Oksana
Hot, manly Wes/Gunn. Yes, indeed, this is quite yummy.
Freaks, Control and Otherwise by Jennifer-Oksana
Just a short piece set early season three with Lilah thinking about Angel. Hot. Hot, hot, hot. Also, Lilah's voice is spot on.
Friends and Other Disasters by Jennifer-Oksana
This is an amusing, complex and, occasionally, angsty longish story set after Home. It's an interesting look at the way things might all shake out now that the AI gang have W+H and all the characterisations are excellent. It's quite enjoyable, indeed.
Inevitable by Jennifer-Oksana
Wesley/Fred post-Fredless. This is strange and sharp and subtle. Very cool.
Morning After by Jennifer-Oksana
It always surprises me, considering Jenny doesn't like Fred, how sympathetic she seems to paint her in her fanfiction. This is a lovely little interaction between Gunn and Fred, and the characterisation is tight.
se7en by Jennifer-Oksana
Seven different Lilah pairings, exploring the seven deadly sins. This is pretty darn cool. No one writes Lilah quite as well as Jennifer-Oksana.
Siren Self by Jennifer-Oksana
Oh, I have so much love for this. It's Connor/Fred, a pairing I adore that pretty much no one writes, and it's just fantastic. It's believable, and Fred's inner voice is so wonderfully screwy.
St. Theresa's Nail Polish Shrine by Jennifer-Oksana
Lovely little piece, dealing with many things, but mostly the friendship between Cordelia and Wesley, as was. Sweet.
Til Break of Day by Jennifer-Oksana
Bittersweet, kind of sad Wes/Lilah. I really like this.
This Side of the Fence by Jennifer-Oksana
Cool Wes/Faith post-s3. This is quite enjoyable.
K
Daylight (The 2AM Remix) by Kate Bolin
Remix of the aforementioned story, and totally fucked up. Because, of course, Connor is.
Lipsticks by Kate Bolin
Cordelia AUs, as defined by what lipstick she uses. This is quite interesting and I really like the characterisation.
Muted by Kate Bolin
Cordelia mourning Buffy. Short, but lovely.
Somebody Up There by Kate Bolin
I was never fond of Fred/Gunn on the show but this story takes the pairing, highlights all the problems with it and makes it kind of sad and sweet. Which is to say, I really like this story.
Surprise by Kel
This is just hilarious. It's Giles/Ethan, and it's about Buffy throwing Giles a surprise party and it made me laugh out loud. All the characterisation is good and it's quite fun.
Five Futures of Alcohol and Sex by Kyra Cullinan
This is really good. It looks at five possibilities for Buffy post Chosen and the characterisation is spot on.
Music From a Farther Room by Kyra Cullinan
Interesting vignette contrasting Willow's relationships with Oz and Tara with her relationship with Kennedy through music. Very nice.
Kyrie Eleison by Kyra Cullinan
This is an interesting look at Angel's relationship to Catholicism throughout his existance. It's just lovely.
Down Through the Morning by Kyra Cullinan
An interesting story in which it was Willow caught by that bullet rather than Tara. The characterisation and the interactions between the characters are utterly fascinating.
What the Living Do by Kyra Cullinan
Larry/Oz in the wishverse. This is short and bittersweet and totally believable. I dig it.
L
Before by LindaMarie
It's Angel/Xander post-The Gift, and it totally doesn't suck. I dig the Xander characterisation in this, especially, and the way everything is so connected to his body.
Mask by LindaMarie
Fucked up Giles story, it really takes you into his head and the description is minimal but powerful.
Keeping Watch by Lar
A very nice Cordelia and Phantom Dennis piece post season two.
M
Damaged Goods by M. Scott Eiland
Post-Home, an interaction between Faith and Lilah. It's kind of sad and kind of sweet and just nice.
Solace by M. Scott Eiland
It's Giles/Cordelia, set before Bargaining and it's rather nice. I'm not an easy sell on this pairing, but the situation makes it reasonably believable, even if I have a few reservations.
Born Again by Maidenjedi
Spike's thoughts during his last scene in Chosen. This is pretty cool.
Cherry Blossom by MaidenJedi
Willow mourning Tara in the moment. This is just a fantastic little look into Willow's head at the moment it happened.
Reality and Other Virtues by Minim Calibre
Oh, this is wonderful. It's a post-Home interaction between Wesley and David Nabbit and I adore it.
Acceptable Losses by Minim Calibre
I supposed I was predisposed to like this story, seeing as I'd already decided something like this happened secretly off-screen. That said? Way cool Wes/Gunn I can believe, without any of those tiresome happy endings. The characterisation rocks. I totally dig this.
Because by Minim Calibre
Short Buffy introspective piece, post-Dead Things. I really like this, because it sounds like her voice and it feels real and true.
Bittersweet Symphony (The Unsweetened Remix) by Minim Calibre
It's a mush of various unconventional pairings, and it's actually pretty darn cool. I actually really like this.
Coastal by Minim Calibre
This is just wonderful Buffy/Faith post-Chosen. The characterisation is rock solid and the interactions between them ring true. This is just immensely satisfying. Plus, the last thing Buffy says is so cute. I love this.
Combat Zone by Minim Calibre
Some Faith/Wes action. This is just wicked cool.
Duty by Minim Calibre
Connor/Cordelia that doesn't make me want to stab myself. That's quite an accomplishment. Anyway, this is just a sweet look at what Connor sees in her.
Farther Than Russia by Minim Calibre
Connor post-Home. This is way cool.
Fringe Benefits by Minim Calibre
Amusing Spike/Xander set in season seven that I can totally get behind.
Leaving Terra by Minim Calibre
This is just really sweet Buffy/Spike, with great Buffy voice.
Unpacking by Minim Calibre
This is a lovely look into Joyce's mind as she starts over in Sunnydale. It has wonderful use of detail and good characterisation.
Watching Our Decay by Minim Calibre
Wes and Gunn, and the things between them. This is way cool.
Standard Perpetuity by Mosca
It's Lilah domesticity via Wes/Lilah after Home and it's actually really sweet in an awkward, vaguely unpleasant sort of way. The characterisation is wonderful and the way the relationship is drawn is just lovely. I really like this one.
Eating Out by Mosca
This is wonderful Willow/Cordelia. It's funny and sexy and the Cordy characterisation is damn good. Love it.
N
Talking To The Dead by nepthys
Buffy dealing with the mundane effects of Tara's death. This is quite nice.
Cutting Room Floor by Nicole Clevenger
Ooh, this is cool. It's Faith riding out the last of the effects of Orpheus and the description, especially of the body, is just fantastic. Also, the characterisation is pretty darn good, too.
Forever by Nicole Clevenger
Oh! It's lovely Xander angst post-Chosen as regards Anya. It makes me want to pat the poor thing.
Glass Shard Substitution by Nicole Clevenger
Ooh, this is so terribly uncomfortable to read. It's Wesley/Faith and it's filled with discomfort and self-loathing.
P
All Good by Patricia RD
Short but sweet Wes/Lilah.
Glasses by Patricia R.D.
Wes/Fred drabble. The indifference amuses me somewhat.
So Close, So Far Away by Patricia RD
Just a drabble about the Wes/Lilah moment as they escaped from the W+H building. It's bittersweet.
Addiction in the Ninth by Princess Twilite
Hot! It's Angel/Wesley, all dreams and longing, and it's screwed up and sexy and fantastic.
Captivate by Princess Twilite
An Angel/Cordelia interaction, of sorts, post-Home with a marvellously bitter Cordy. I really like this one.
S
Bound by s.a.
Ooh! Black magic Willow. I like.
Cross To Bear by s.a.
This is a lovely story, with great characterisation, about Buffy's relationship to crosses. It's just wonderful.
Juxtaposition by s.a.
Cool story comparing events in Bargaining and Becoming.
Jimmy Olsen by s.a.
Xander's relationship to donuts and world-saving over the years. This is just lovely.
One Son by s.a.
This is disturbingly cute.
Summertime by s.a.
s.a. has a good way of showing a lot about the characters by highlighting one specific small part of their existance. In this she turns her pen to Buffy's summers and it's very nice indeed.
Antitype by Sarah T.
It's a lovely, real, bittersweet story about Giles before he returned to Sunnydale and Ethan. The end actually made me kind of sniffly.
Tango To Evora by Scy
Interesting story about Willow and Kennedy after Chosen. I really like the way this is told.
Doin It by Selena Ulrich
A nice look into Nikki.
Curve by Shara
Just some sweet Buffy/Faith post-Chosen.
Thrall by Shrift
Gunn/Wes circa Shiny, Happy People. This is way cool.
Tomb of the Unknowns by Sophia Prester
Xander, remembering the dead. This is just lovely.
T
Free Will by Tara O'Shea
I haven't read the story this is a remix of, but I can tell this is fantastic all on it's own. It hurts to read, the Cordelia voice is spot on and it made me all sniffly, dammit. It's just wonderful.
Amends the Next Time by Te and Sheila Perez
This is Gunn/Wes during the rain of fire, and it's just wonderful. It's warm and real and the characterisation and interaction is so great. It's funny and hot in turns and it's just so satisfying.
Comfort by Te
Wesley thinks about Angel, because, you know, he does this all the time. I can totally get behind the Wesley characterisation in this.
Easy by Te
Some slashy Gunn thoughts. This is cool, yeah.
Magic Mirror by Te
Eep. Inside Andrew's brain. This story is so deliciously dark.
Stuck in the Middle by Te
Ugh! Xander post-Dirty Girls. This is just a whole world of ick and angst and badness, and it's so well put together I couldn't help but enjoy.
Warmth by Te
It's Willow/Xander. Watch me being surprised I'm reccomending this pairing. Anyway, it's post-Grave and it's just gorgeous.
Darkest Hours by The Net Slayerette
Willow mourning. This is just lovely.
Something To Sing About by Twinkledru J.
Buffy finding contentment in the sunrise. This is a nice look into Buffy's head after season six, at the way she could be happy even with all the problems, and it's just lovely.
The Sun Also Sets (Over Sunnydale) by Twinkledru J.
This is just a lovely look at Willow and Xander immediately after Chosen. It's so sweet and nicely put together.
V
Comfortador by Victoria P
Aww! Xander's thoughts post-Grave, with nice Xander voice.
East of Eden by Victoria P.
Dawn and Xander, and a different way season seven could have ended. This is just wonderful, really sustains the mood quite nicely.
Order Into Chaos by Victoria P.
I am most impressed by this Giles story, with it's look into his dreams and his dead women. Very nicely put together, indeed.
One Hundred Strokes by Vivien
Drusilla, looking for companions. I like the detail of her brushing her hair.
W
Begging For Coppers, Begging For Drugs by Wendy
Giles/Ethan, the end of the relationship. It's short and nicely put together.
volcanoes melt you down by winter baby
This is interesting and different. It's kind of Willow/Giles and kind of not, but mostly about Willow dealing with her sexuality again in the wake of Chosen. The way the relationships between the characters are drawn is utterly fascinating and it's harsh and adult.
Z
fitter happier more productive by Zara Hemla
Post-Home, five different lives Connor could lead. This is very interesting.
